This stop-motion film is based around an intensely choreographed sequence of 4085 photographs of wooden blocks reacting, or dancing perhaps, in sync with the music.

I downloaded the high-resolution image sets (61.449 stills) that have been made available by the NASA Johnson Space Center and constructed this short time-lapse film.
Total footage 108,82 GB and 61.610 files, made in a week … I’ll take a lilte breack … 😉

Post Processing: in Adobe After Effects CS5.5 I imported every image set in a new composition at 4256×2832, re-escaling, etc. and exported clips at 1280×720 in Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) codec.
Final process in Premiere Pro CS5.5, color correction with MB Looks, sound, titles, etc.
Exported from Premiere with the Vimeo HD presset.
