The elaboration of the director: I used stop-motion animation as technique of expression to explain my confusion and the situation. In real space, I used the finished product to cast a small field, which seems to be magnified in the image. People of different contexts will get a same feeling after watching the work and they will put their own situation into the interpretation of the work. To create is to know oneself and the world. This piece of work is an “image poem” left for myself, trying to tell myself not to stick to an acre of land and be bounded by a self-centered strong gravitational and magnetic field. It is the first alarm bell of my future life, as the poem composed by Knecht in Hesse’s novel Das Glasperlenspiel— “Each beginning contains magic power, which will protect us and help us to survive. We happily pass through one after another spaces. We will never confine to a certain provincialism. The spirit of the universe makes us free from restraint and it inspires us to climb up and move forward.”
