Big move timelapses with Camtrac dolly system.

Camtrac Magic from Dan Eckert on Vimeo.

Most clips in this demo reel were shot using existing rails and surfaces in the field. Set up time was minimal. It was hit and run type videography…no security or police entanglements.

As this product, the Camtrac, moves further on in development, I am amazed at how useful it is for the kind of camera work that I do. For instance when shooting people or cars I like to keep frame intervals below 3 seconds. There currently is nothing on the market that can do theses long moves in so many different configurations.

And the Camtrac isn’t just for making time lapse movies, it also doubles as a video dolly, skater/tabletop dolly or a rig you can mount on a vehicle using suction cups. I think of it as a camera station where my cameras spend a lot of their time! We are currently planning on using the MX2 controller as a means of motion control.

To fully understand its potential click on the Camtrac link where you will find more details. If you have any improvement suggestions feel free to let us know.

Price point for just the unit will be around $1,500. Pneumatic wheels, carry case and other accessories will be extra. I will try to get a BTS video out as time permits. Thanks for watching.
